Linz inspires in many different ways.
As the city of Linz proudly proclaims, the Danube is the lifeline of Linz and the heart of the city's life and culture.
The UNESCO City of Media Arts has been working hard for years to cultivate its cultural institutions and higher education system, and today it can also be proud of a thriving start-up scene. It is home to around 203,000 inhabitants in an area of around 96 km² and has a history that dates back at least to the year 799 and is clearly visible in many corners of the city.
In Linz, the historic buildings in the city center blend seamlessly with modern structures such as the Lentos Art Museum and the Brucknerhaus on the banks of the Danube. From the URBAUATS FLATS you can pleasantly stroll along the Danube promenade over to Linz's main square and from there explore the city's small streets and its special corners.
